What you will do

  1. Open the isolated training portal and trigger its single controlled error.
  2. Inspect the simulated status, response headers, stack trace, framework clue, database name, and internal path.
  3. Identify the training-only flag without testing or reusing any credential.
  4. Submit the flag to DH Labs to save the result.
  5. Explain why production errors should be generic while detailed diagnostics remain in restricted logs.
Show full walkthrough and solution
  1. Start Information Disclosure — Debug Information and trigger the controlled error.
  2. Inspect the fictional HTTP response for its trace, source path, framework and database clues.
  3. Record only the supplied training flag; do not test any credential or request a real file.
  4. Submit the exact training flag through the authenticated DH Labs proof form.
  5. In production, return a generic error and preserve diagnostics only in access-controlled server-side logs.

The controlled response is fixed fictional data; the lab does not read host files, expose real secrets or contact external sites. Student login is required to start this lab and track progress.
